Paceword Speed Reader presents text one word at a time at a chosen pace, estimates reading and speaking time, and offers original reading-speed tests with comprehension questions.

Limitations

This is a training aid, not a medical or learning-disability assessment
Comprehension can decrease at high speeds
Chinese text is split by character rather than by linguistic word

Add it

ChatGPT: once Paceword Speed Reader is approved, add it from the ChatGPT plugin directory.

Claude: go to Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector and enter https://speed-reader.zovo.one/mcp. No sign-in is needed. Once Paceword Speed Reader is listed in the Claude connector directory, you can add it from there too.
